Yes. I source high-quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or equivalent parts through trade networks. Due to this, you get the correct, reliable parts at fair prices.
To guarantee the quality of the repair and ensure my Service Indemnity Insurance remains valid, I generally do not fit customer-supplied parts. Sourcing my own parts allows me to stand behind the repair 100%. Any further queries on this, please do contact me.
Yes. I provide a fully itemised digital invoice detailing all parts and labour, which serves as legal proof of maintenance. For modern vehicles with Electronic Service Records (ESR), I can log the service data to ensure your manufacturer history is kept entirely up to date. For physical service books I can also stamp these.
I am fully mobile, meaning I come to your home or workplace. All I need is a safe, flat surface (like a driveway or a quiet, legally parked street) with enough space to safely access the vehicle.
You only need to be there to hand over the keys and for a quick chat before I start. Once I’m working, you are free to get on with your day. I will notify you as soon as the job is completed.
Most of the services I provide do not require a test drive, however, to keep my overheads low and pass those savings on to you, I operate with a unique testing policy. All dynamic road testing is conducted with you, the owner, in the driver's seat. I will ride in the passenger seat with my diagnostic equipment to monitor the vehicle's systems in real-time.
Absolutely. Ilves MVS holds comprehensive Public Liability and Service Indemnity insurance. Your vehicle and your property are completely protected while I am working.
Nine times out of ten I can handly any routine servicing, brakes, suspension, and diagnostic tasks at your property or place of work, but some major jobs require a full workshop lift. I do not perform engine swaps, clutch replacements, or major welding on driveways for safety and environmental reasons.
I do not charge a hidden call-out fee. All travel costs to my standard service area are built into the transparent quote I provide before the work begins. The price you are quoted is the price you pay. To protect my time however while maintaining a good quality service, I do charge a flat advance fee for every job of £50 ahead of my visit. This reserves your booking, covers your first hour of labour and the diagnostic scan that is included in every service.
Other than the advance payment of £50 to cover your first hour of labour and diagnostic scan, payment is due in full only upon the completion of the work. I accept simple, secure bank transfers, and you will receive a digital, itemised invoice for your records. I can also accept card payment through a payment gateway on the invoice via Stripe or GoCardless, Klarna is also available through this sytem. Be aware there is a 2% surcharge on paying by card.
